Progressive Center Party

Progressive Center Party
A Romanian immigrants (see Aliya) political party created to run in the 17 May 1999 elections. Led by Adrian Ionovici, it felt that Romanian immigrants had always supported Labor without being given positions on its lists or ministerial positions. Ionovici wanted to see the Romanian immigrants begin to receive a place in the government as the Russian immigrants already had. The party did not receive enough votes to secure a Knesset seat.
